Jennifer Cleland, Director of Content Marketing at Roofr
Before working with Aloola, our brand didn’t reflect where the business was headed. The website felt outdated, the visuals were inconsistent, and it was hard to explain what we do at a glance. Aloola took the time to understand our business and our customers. They refreshed our branding, tightened our messaging, and rebuilt the site from the ground up. The new site is clean, modern, and finally feels like us. Everything works together, from the logo and colors to the copy on every page. I love it. It turned out way better than I expected, and the team at Aloola went above and beyond at every step.

A fractional CMO vs. the alternatives

Why not an agency, a junior hire, or AI alone?

Each one can do part of the job. None of them owns the number. Here is what changes when one senior lead is accountable for pipeline.

No. A consultant hands you a deck. A fractional CMO owns the plan, leads your team and tools, and ships the work. You get a CMO for the days you need, without the full-time cost.

Why founders choose Aloola

Why founders choose Aloola as their fractional CMO

01
RoofrHopskipIn-house agency

In-house and agency experience

Aloola's founder led marketing in house at Roofr and Hopskip, reporting to the CEO, and ran Roofr's in-house agency for sales, product, and support.

02

What AI can't do yet

Strategy, judgment, and accountability. A fractional CMO decides what to do, trains your AI tools to do it well, and owns the result.

03

Organized and reportable

Weekly metrics reviews, a scorecard in your CRM, and SOPs in Notion so nothing lives in one person's head.

04

You get your time back

Marketing stops being the thing you do at 11pm. We own it, and you review a weekly scorecard.

Kate [Founder of Aloola] did a phenomenal job at building out our brand and marketing function from scratch. Give Kate the goal and get out of the way.

Fractional CMO FAQs for founders

Want to make sure we're the right fit? These answers should help, but reach out to us anytime. We’re here to help.

What does a fractional CMO cost?

A monthly fee scoped to your days per week and what needs owning. No hourly billing and no surprise invoices. We share pricing on the first call.

Will you help us hire a full-time marketer?

Yes. We write the job description, interview, and onboard your first marketer, then hand over the SOPs, templates, and scorecard so they can run with it.

Do you actually do the work, or just advise?

Both. Advice is the easy part. When no one on your team can ship a campaign, a landing page, or a HubSpot setup, we build it ourselves.

Will you manage our existing marketer or agency?

Yes, and that's often the whole point. We set goals, run weekly reviews, and make sure your marketer, freelancers, agencies, and AI tools are pulling toward the same pipeline targets.

Is there a minimum commitment?

The first 90 days cover the audit, strategy, and build, so that's the natural starting point. After that it runs month to month. We agree on terms on the call.

How many days a week do we get?

It depends on your stage and what needs owning. We agree on days per week and scope on the first call, and the fee is monthly.

How is this different from an agency or a consultant?

An agency executes what you ask for. A consultant hands you a plan. A fractional CMO owns the number: sets the strategy, runs your team and tools, ships the work when needed, and reports on it every week.

What is a fractional CMO?

A senior marketing leader who works with you part-time, usually a set number of days a week. You get the strategy, team leadership, and accountability of a CMO without the full-time salary and equity.

Do you work with businesses outside of tech?

Yes, if the fit is right. The systems are built around founder-led, high-growth companies, not specifically tech. If that's you, let's talk.

Why should we choose Aloola?

Because most agencies make you pick between a strategist who can't execute and an executor with no judgment. Aloola is built by someone who's actually run brand and marketing inside venture-backed startups, not advised from the outside, so you get senior thinking and the system to back it up, without the cost of an agency or the risk of a full-time hire.
